The short answer

Yes — blueberries are one of the healthier fruit treats you can give a budgie.

Why

Blueberries are packed with antioxidants and vitamins, and the whole berry (skin included) is fine. They're still sugary, so they remain a treat, but a relatively guilt-free one.

How to feed it

Wash them and offer one or two, whole or lightly mashed. They can stain the beak and droppings blue for a bit, which is harmless.

How much & how often

One or two berries a few times a week.
